The story behind the artwork

In this pivotal new collection of artworks, artist Kristjana S Williams draws inspiration from the masters of surrealism, Salvador Dali and Dorothea Tanning as well as channeling the tales of Alice in Wonderland, Carroll's transcendent work that has inspired art, literature, politics and culture since its first publication in 1865. Drawing upon her personal exploration and research and her work for the V&A, Kristjana has captured the essence of surrealism through her modern graphic art pieces; the distortion, mutation or sometimes complete transformation of what is known in order to create a fantastical tableau. The familiar are familiar still, but not quite as we expect.

Printed in our studio in London on Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300 gsm, using giclée inks to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come. All prints come with a physical Certificate of Authenticity.

Edition of 125, signed and numbered by the artist.
