A richly symbolic reflection on the health journeys and lived experiences of women and girls, originally created for the Bodleian Library in Oxford.
From anatomical motifs and flowing medicines to serpents, starlit creatures and blossoming botanicals, the artwork captures the unseen challenges of diagnosis, care and representation. Amidst scientific instruments and intuitive natural forms, Kristjana weaves themes of resilience, autonomy and the pursuit of balance in a world still learning to understand women’s bodies and minds.
A perfect companion to Wishful Thinking II - Culture, this piece illuminates the intimate terrain of well-being with depth, tenderness and hope.
