The story behind the artwork
An architecturally strong and colourful piece of artwork, inspired by the Renaissance palaces of Rome as well as London's own historically iconic Victoria and Albert museum. Kristjana has created a immersive sense of depth, using plates collected by John Barrington, and imbibed them with rich and vivid eye-popping colour. Upon this dramatic backdrop, compositional elements inspired by the world renowned London designer Paul Smith, plus nods to English curiosities and industry, such as the fox coming for tea and the rabbit with teacups. A feast for the eyes and the imagination.
This artwork forms one of a complementary pair which look stunning when hung together. Complete the pair.
