The story behind the artwork

The story that began with the sold-out Ísól Hnöttur continues in this new celestial globe by Kristjana S Williams. Suspended in space, this intricate world shimmers with life and imagination a floating planet where nature and myth entwine.

At its pinnacle, a magnificent stag unfurls iridescent wings, a creature both dragonfly and deer, standing guard beneath lush palms. Mirroring its presence, a second winged deer hangs inverted below, as if this globe is turning on its own axis. Across its surface, crystalline architectures rise like ancient cities in ruins, softened by bursts of flora, darting birds, and a kaleidoscope of butterflies.

Every glance reveals another secret: prowling foxes, fantastical fish, playful cats, and creatures that slip between the ordinary and the extraordinary. Together, they create a world at once fragile and eternal, echoing the balance of chaos and harmony found in nature itself.

This work is both a continuation and a transformation a new chapter in the celestial worlds of Kristjana S Williams, destined to captivate as deeply as its predecessor.
