A vivid exploration of the cultural forces that shape the lives of women and girls, originally created for the Bodleian Library in Oxford.

From the central muse unfurls a flourishing constellation of symbolic creatures and objects - proud horses of strength, watchful cats of scrutiny, delicate butterflies of transformation. Ritual motifs and ornate details whisper of long-held expectations and norms that influence identity and autonomy, while radiant light, abundant blooms and soaring wings signal hope, resilience and the rewriting of inherited narratives.

Designed to pair harmoniously with Wishful Thinking II - Health & Well-Being, this artwork celebrates the cultural landscape of womanhood in all its complexity and possibility.
