A contemporary hybrid reimagining of Hendrik Voogd’s Italian Landscape with Umbrella Pines (1807). Here, the calm late-afternoon light of the Borghese gardens becomes a stage for an unfolding curiosity cabinet: drifting flora, whimsical vessels, fantastical creatures, and delicate interventions that weave themselves through Voogd’s elegant pines. The classical stillness of the original is held intact, while a new layer of dreamlike folkloric life emerges between the trees.
