Free worldwide delivery on unframed prints by artist Kristjana S WilliamsThe story behind the artwork

A stunning circular piece, using Kristjana’s trademark map artwork, placing Iceland at the very centre of the world. This is a glimpse of the Island through the lenses of the Americas. Despite having spent over half her life away from her motherland, Kristjana feels this distance has given her artwork a unique perspective and authenticity, through which she has been able to harness the incredible energy of the spectacular island.

Within the garland-like floral frame, nature takes over, and Icelandic creatures weave their way across the continents, bringing the magic and curiosities of the Icelandic landscape to the rest of the world. Giant octopus swim alongside flitting butterflies and burgeoning moths; the Icelandic horse stands proud, poised for its next journey; contradictory prophetic symbols, yet sitting together in this otherworldly landscape. Signs of human endeavour are never far away, represented here in the buildings of industry and progression, of history and modernity. Humanity and nature sit side by side in this circular celebration of Iceland.

This artwork forms one of a complementary pair which look stunning when hung together. Complete the pair.
