Savour the flavours of love in Kristjana’s latest heart collage artwork, where the anatomical organ has been enveloped by the sweetness of sugar and spice. A saccharine rush echoes through pulsating chambers, releasing happy hormones and a sense of wellbeing. A sweet dessert, a peaceful afternoon in the café, a cold ice-cream on a hot summer's day, or a mouthful of chocolate after a stressful day - how sweet and comforting food can be.
From the summit of a cherry topped sundae, slide down snowy peaks to an inviting coffee pot, waiting to warm and awaken. Clusters of strawberries dot the brimming stream which feeds buttery soft ice cream cones, blooming from the thorns and ripe to be picked. Dotted within the vessels, spot tiny cupcakes and creamy cappuccinos, coupes of champagne and indulgent cakes, dripping with cutlery flowers. This heart beats on, regular as clockwork, while we indulge in the flavours of love.
