Spanning over two meters in length, this panoramic artwork is based upon a captivating mid-nineteenth century painting, and depicts the earth’s flora and fauna in one continual illustration through its various climates, from the hot tropical islands of East Asia, India and Africa to the moderate climate of Western Europe, then all the way to Russia and the frigid Arctic.
One of our most loved circular world maps, inspired by the magical island of Sri Lanka. Pink, dusky light radiates across the entire piece, symbolising the warmth and vibrancy of South West Asia. Sri Lanka sits at the foot of Southern India, originally the independent state of Ceylon. A pair of Sri Lankan leopards take centre stage, surrounded by the sultry scents of acacia, satinwood, passion flower and lotus.
