The story behind the artwork

A unique celebration of New York City, combining Kristjana’s impactive typographical artwork with her beautiful and iconic maps.

Immediately, the letters catch your eye much in the same way that the city does. Behind the headline, the cartography leaps out, revealing strands of the Hudson and East Rivers, a miracle of elusive blue, cutting through a cityscape, alive with tangled foliage and majestically adorned animals. A three-pointed signpost reveals iconic Manhattan street names, while a leopard creeps gingerly over a cluster of raspberries, their magenta hue channeling the energy of the place. The city skyscrapers here are just reaching into shot - this is a New York embellished by beautific and colourful nature, a symbol of thriving life on this most renowned of island cities.

Printed in our studio in London on Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300 gsm, using giclée inks to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come. All prints come with a physical Certificate of Authenticity.
