The story behind the artwork

Hera globe is bleached of colour, oceans drained and continents reconnected - not Pangaea surrounded by Panthalassa because 300 million years have elapsed during which Antarctica, Australasia and Asia have drifted apart to stand proud – but all animals freely roam, masters of their own will. This graphic of clean mathematical precision provides an empty circus stage where flora and fauna can play out in a carnival of pleasure. A regal giraffe stands astride the Bismarck and Solomon seas, an exquisite Indian peacock irreverently displays in Mongolia, whilst on the Southern pole elegant flamingos dip their feet in icy waters. As the sun sets casting its shadow, lamps light up the earth and pick out butterflies, balloons and fish in flight. Kristjana has created here a graphic celebration of her imagination.

Printed in our studio in London, using the highest quality archival paper (Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300gsm) and highest quality inks (giclée), to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come.

Framing service

To ensure your Limited Edition Print is well protected we use ph neutral i.e acid free tapes, board and back mount. The artwork is entirely stuck down and mounted to the frame. It's Ok if you change your mind. All artwork ordered comes inclusive of our no-hassle 30 days free return policy, no questions asked. You can contact us within 30 days of receiving your order for a full refund or exchange. Please return the item in the original packaging.

Kristjana S Williams studio has the most sublime, wonderful works of art. I adore browsing through their website to be inspired into my next purchase. I first purchased a limited edition A1 print but due to Covid-19 lockdown, am unable to get it framed. This of course led me to purchasing the next prints as framed, for the letters H O M E, which I will place vertically in my stairwell. I can't wait for the skeleton images to be available. It's a beautiful, inspirational company and the works of art are to die for. They help drive the design of my house, the colours bring ideas into my design, with the emphasis on where I can place my Kristjana works of art. Love this global message, both from a distance and close up, as I spot something new every time. A tip would be to spend the extra money on buying it ready-framed. I had to buy a second frame as the first one was too flimsy for the large size, then the second frame mount was barely big enough. My local framer is still closed but that would have cost the same as this online framing option. The second, smaller pair of prints I bought were ready-framed and it was totally worth the price, they were professioally done and arrived ready to hang immediately.
