The story behind the artwork
Inspired by Britain’s greatest landscape architect, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, this perfectly balanced, circular tableau demonstrates the surprising symbiosis between wild and untamed nature and human structure. In the style of Brown, the delicate 3D elements have been purposely positioned so that the entire vista can be viewed in one glance. The hero Heron steps into the frame from its watery glade, poised in its elevated position over the pastoral landscape. Woodland toadstools fringe the floral border, standing tall amidst the delicate flora of the English countryside. The viewer peers out from this natural world towards a rainbow-arched palace, the perfect diorama.
Bespoke Hand and laser cut paper collage. Digitally designed, hand sculpted paper elements are painstakingly pinned in place onto a thick foam board, creating a stunning three dimensional effect. Utterly unique in its composition and to its owner, an original artwork is one of its kind and cannot be replicated. Your piece will be the only piece like it, anywhere in the world.
