This highly elaborate and intricate original artwork, is a circular map of London with numerous elements reflecting the city's rich history. Kristjana created the pair of East and West circular Originals along with her giant glass piece 'The Knowledge' commissioned by The Shard in London in 2015. A fact sheet with all the historical references comes with this piece. The title of this artwork translates from Icelandic / English as East Robin London - Original.
Austur Robin London - Original is magnificent on it's own, but has an even more impact when hung as a pair with Vestur Uglu London - Original.
Dimensions of the Original artwork on display in The Shard: 105 cm x 105 cm x 13 cm
Hand and laser cut paper collage. Digitally designed, hand sculpted paper elements are pinned in place to create a stunning three dimensional effect.
Kristjana's Original pieces come in a deep plain box frame or a bespoke hand routed circular frames, which can be painted in any colour the client wishes. Kristjana uses perspex glass for the framing of her original work, due to the lightness of the material and durability.
